The 2021 Summit took place on June 2-4, 2021 via a virtual event platform. The theme of the 2021 NGWS was “Drought, Growth and Social Inequity”, and each day was devoted to one aspect of that theme.
The NGWS opened on June 2nd with a keynote address from Professor Katharine Hayhoe, The Nature Conservancy’s Chief Scientist and 2019 United Nations Champion of the Earth award winner.
On June 4th, we were joined by newly elected U.S. House Representative Melanie Stansbury. A recorded message from U.S. Rep. Teresa Leger-Fernandez preceded Stansbury’s interview with Glenn Schiffbauer.
Sessions featured speakers from all 4 time zones of the United States and one presenter from Europe. There were 3 tracks offered: Live – National, Live – New Mexico and On-Demand. In total, over 350 people registered for the Summit.
